“Because of concerns around soy protein extracted with hexane, we have eliminated the use of any soy protein ingredient that uses hexane in its processing.
Only four products (some of our veggie burgers) out of over 170 products have ever contained soy protein concentrate. We have replaced soy protein concentrate in these products with organic tofu. Tofu production is similar to cheese making and uses no unnatural ingredients. To see our tofu being made check out this video.
Our best selling burger, the California Burger, has never contained soy protein of any kind.

Amy’s Crowns “Healthy Eating Never Tasted So Good” in its Slogan Contest
Santa Rosa, California - Amy's Kitchen, the nation's top-selling brand of natural and organic convenience foods, recently celebrated its 22nd anniversary – in all that time, the company never had an official slogan. Last November Amy’s asked its customers to tell the company what phrase, word, jingle, or rhyme best described the spirit of Amy’s Kitchen in 15 words or less.
The company received more than 3,000 responses via Facebook and its website and chose as its new slogan, “Healthy Eating Never Tasted So Good,” a three-way tie between Catherine Huitt of Dallas, TX, Jackie Berkowtiz of Arlington, VA and Barbara Yanchek of Jermyn, PA. The runner-up entry was “Healthy never tasted so good,” with six winners.
Entries had to be received by February 1, 2010. The winners will receive $500 worth of Amy’s products. Runners up will receive $50 worth of Amy’s products.

Amy’s Teriyaki Wrap which features Amy’s own variation of traditional Japanese teriyaki sauce, lending a sweet and tangy flavor to the organic rice, vegetables and marinated tofu that fill this tasty wrap. Amy’s Breakfast Scramble Wrap, a savory combination of tofu, veggie bacon, cheese and vegetables seasoned to perfection in an organic flour tortilla, is a great way to start the day.
In addition, Amy’s will serve samples of three popular Mexican style entrees: Enchilada Verde, a specialty of Amy’s favorite restaurant in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, as well as Amy’s Roasted Vegetable Tamale and Black Bean Tamale, both made using traditionally prepared corn masa made from organic white corn, then filled with either savory fire-roasted organic vegetables or tender organic black beans and a mixture of organic vegetables, chilis and jalapeņos.
